El-Rufai is Planning to Demolish the World’s Largest Church – CAN

The Christian association of Nigeria, Kaduna chapter, has claimed that the state governor has intentions of demolishing structures housing the church auditorium of Dunamis International Gospel Center across the state.

Secretary of CAN in the state, Dr. Sunday Ibrahim made this revelation while addressing newsmen yesterday. Mr. Ibrahim made the claim for  an official letter from the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency (KAPSUDA) asking the church to provide details of its operation in the state.

You may recall that on, November 25, 2018, the Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC) launched her current headquarters, housing a capacity of 100,000 capacity, dubbing it as the World’s largest church auditorium.

Acting general manager of the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency , Fatima Bambale, in a letter No. PS/14/PP/ZIII/20, 624/ VOL.I/0 entitled ‘Update of Religious Institutions within the State’, stated:

“I am directed to request you to furnish the agency with your details through the attached form.

“You are to reply within seven days of receiving this letter.”

Responding to the letter, CAN in the state expressed great dissatisfaction on the directive by KAPSUDA, stating that it was improper for the government agency to write individually to a church and SNUB the umbrella christian body in the state i.e CAN.

CAN also said that it perceives that the State Government wants to fight the Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC), churches in the state through one of its agency, that is, KAPSUDA.

“We find it offensive, and suspect it as ill-conceived and inappropriate that the agency should write the individual church directly disregarding CAN. – part of the letter read.

Arctic reporters gather that on October 29, 2018 the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, DIGC, Paul Enenche, during one of his Sunday services declared that those behind the killings in Kaduna at that time would perish alongside their generations.
