Court adjourns trial date for Ike Ekweremadu and his wife again. After going through the evidence brought to the court, they are still unable to tackle the case and so the case has once again been adjourned to a further date.

Although the Ekweremadu’s haven’t been released yet, the case has been adjourned to the forth of August. And they have also established that the person who was carried for the transplant isn’t a minor as he rightly said.
Court adjourns trial date
Looks like the court would be in favour of the Ekweremadu’s.
For one, Ike Ekweremadu wasn’t involved in any organ trafficking. Ike had specifically asked the 21 year old if he was going to donate the kidney and he agreed.
The Nigerian politician has a daughter who needs a transplant. He was obviously out of options and that was a way to save his child.
Ike Ekweremadu did write to the British High Commission, explaining the situation. Below is an evidence that Ike wrote to the British high commission.
The donor travelled to the UK with the patient.
The donor is a 21 year old man and not a girl as many are writing. And that means he is not a Minor.
Worse, the organ did not match. And since the young man didn’t want to return, the donor went to report that he was trafficked to London for possible organ harvest. Believing it would guarantee him asylum.
The court has accepted that the 21 year old isn’t a minor, so we expect good news by the next court meeting. For now, the Ekweremadu’s are still denied bail.
