An Open Letter to Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA Executive Council- Melody Amos

The leadership of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Executive Council led by Chief (Amb) Odili Victor Ifeanyi is yet to make any worthwhile impact on the people.

A second thought on the title to give this sponsored post is “ONELGA Needs to be Revamped By Melody Amos’, but  I considered giving it the title which it currently bears because I want the message to possess a definite direction to those it concerns.

The Local Government  is still as it used to be. Nothing has changed save the renovation of the Local Government Council and some broken chairs and windows which to me has little or no effect on ONELGANS.

The people of ONELGA wish to see Practical “Local Government Projects”. June 2018 to April 2019 which you have been in office is enough to show capacity.

Now I,  am forced to question the credibility of the Garden City Advancement Award (GCAA) of the “Best Performing Chairman” (2018) given to you Sir.

Awards like that can only be obtained when the voting system is “Online”, but I assure you, it those not reflect the true disposition of the ONELGA People.

I recall vividly that the last time a strong media Assistant to the Representative of the ONELGA/AWELGA People in the Federal House of Representatives; Prince (Hon) Uchechukwu George Nnam-Obi questioned your leadership style of the Council Chairman, in the manner I am doing now, he was covertly cautioned and asked to never do so again.

The Council media even went as far as wanting to launch a media attack on there own simply because he spoke the truth about your administration, a move which contradicts the oath upholding their office.

It’s obvious they don’t want this government to be criticised but derive joy in criticising the APC led administration with all pleasure.

In the words of Martin Luther King “We begin to die the very day we keep silent over things that matters most in our life”

For the love of democracy, the leadership of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni is not a shrine as to repel criticisms.

How Can we, the people of  Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area  demand for accountability when we can’t question authority.

Ambassador Odili Victor Ifeanyi should not make us believe that his administration is a mere Rubber-Stamp in the system.

He should make his blue print open to the people and stop piloting our affairs in secrecy.

I, Melody Amos believe that for there to be any national advancement in our dear country Nigeria, Grass-root issues like this need to be fixed.

I pray this message stir you up to be re-awakened to the consciousness why you were voted to power.

Thanks

God bless AWELGA
God Bless  ONELGA.
God Bless Rivers State,
God Bless Nigeria.
