Almost forty premier league players are being called to flag their country’s flag in the just started African Cup of Nation holding in Cameroon. a total of sixteen (16) premier league clubs, will have to spend at least a month with most of their African favorite features.
The AFCON competition which kicked off on the 9th of January 2022 will be affecting sixteen (16) premier league clubs and these clubs will be without these players for over a month.
Some of these players and clubs include:
1. ARSENAL Football Club – Is to play without the following players: Thomas Partey (Ghana), Pierre Emerick Aubameang (Gabon), Nicolas Pepe (Ivory Coast), Mohamed Elneny (Egypt), Omar Rekik (Tunisia).
2. ASTON VILLA Football Club – Is to play with the following players; Bertrand Traore (Burkina Faso), Trezeguet (Egypt).
3. BRENTFORD Football Club – Frank Onyeka ( Nigeria), Julian Heavier (Guinea), Tariqe Fosu-Henry (Ghana), will be missing the premier action for the next one month.
4. BRIGHTON Football Club – Yves Bissouma (Mali) is to miss at least three premier games as a result of his involvement in the on going African Cup of Nation.
5. BURNLEY Football Club – Maxwell Cornet an Ivorian football star will be missing a full month premier league soccer excitement.
6. CHELSEA Football Club – Edouard Mendy a Senegalese football will be will be missing the premier league actions.
7. CRYSTAL PALACE Football Club – Cheikhou Kouyate (Senegal), Jordan Ayew (Ghana), Wilfred Zaha (Ivory Coast).
8. EVERTON Football Club – Alex Iwobi (Nigeria).
9. LEICESTER CITY Football Club – Kelechi Iheanacho (Nigeria), Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria), Daniel Amartey (Ghana), Nampaly’s Mendy (Senegal) will be out of the premier league action for close to a month or more.
10. LIVERPOOL Football Club – Is to play without the following players: Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal), Baby Keita (Guinea).
11. MANCHESTER CITY Football Club – Riyad Mahrez (Algeria).
12. MANCHESTER UNITED Football Club – Is to play without the following players: Eric Baily (Ivory Coast), Amar Diallo (Ivory coast), Hannibal Meibri (Tunisia).
13. SOUTHAMPTON Football Club – Moussa Dienepo (Mali) won’t be available to play atleast three games for his club.
14. WATFORD Football Club – Is to play without the following players: Willam Troost-Ekong (Nigeria), Imran Louza (Morocco), Adam Masina (Morocco), Sarr (Senegal).
15. WOLVES Football Club – Willy Holy (Ivory coast), Romain Saiss (Morocco).
16. WEST HAM Football Club – Said Benrahma (Algeria). While the premier league will be without some top players like Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Wilfred Ndidi, Mahrez, Edouard Mendy and so on, some top players are also likely to miss out of both the AFCON and premier league such as ; Victor Osimen, Hakim Ziyech, Odion Ighalo and Emmanuel Dennie.
