The Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezewo Wike this morning rescued former NDDC MD, Joy Nunieh from “house arrest.”
You recall that the embattled NDDC MD was scheduled to leave for the airport to travel to Abuja were she is expected to testify before the Senate.
Arctic Reporters however gathered that at about 4.00am on Thursday morning, some members of the police invaded her residence in Port Harcourt, with the intentions of obstructing her from traveling to Abuja.
We gathered that she sent an SOS call across to the governor of Rivers State, who had earlier warned that no harm should befall her in cause of the ongoing probe.
Governor Wike, however quickly responded and forced entry into Joy Nunieh’s residence, ordered police officers out and later drove off with her.
