Federal Government Directive on Curfew, Religious Gatherings And Other Activities (In Nigeria)

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 made an announcement yesterday that the nationwide curfew has been shifted from 8pm-6am  to 10pm-4am starting today being Tuesday, 2nd of June.

More so, the restriction placed on religious gatherings has been relaxed by The President, Muhammadu Buhari (based on PTF guidelines) but, ban on interstate movement, including gatherings of more than 20 people and others still remain. Nevertheless, goods such as agricultural produce, petroleum products and other essential activities are exempted for the next four weeks beginning today though, this is subject to review.

Church and Mosque services will operate based on strict protocols of state governments and adherence to PTF guidelines on physical distancing.

There is yet to be changes on the reopening of schools; thus, schools are still in abeyance until further notice.

However, the Aviation industry have been directed to develop protocols for domestic flights to resume from June 21, 2020.
