Rep. Uju Kingsley, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections for the House of Representatives for Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency, Imo State, has assured that he will appeal the judgement of the Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Nasarawa, that dismissed his case on technicalities, rather than point of law against his APC opponent, Mr. Eugene Dibiagwu.
Recall that according to vanguard, the presidential election Tribunal ruled that the labour party’s petition of irregularities in the elections were generic.

In a statement on Thursday, Rep. Uju Kingsley rejected the outcome of the tribunal and declared that he would approach the Appeal Court to challenge the verdict after consultations with his legal team.

“I want to assure my people that my legal team is studying the prouncement of the tribunal and would reply appropriately.”

Hon. Uju Kingsley said he had an unflinching faith in the nation’s judiciary, adding that he would appeal the court judgment.

He urged his party faithfuls, the good people of Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta/ Oru West Federal Constituency and teeming supporters not to lose hope stressing that there was no cause for alarm as his mandate would be restored by the court of Appeal.
